I always loved to draw, but I haven't been doing that as much as I'd like to these days. . .

Most recently, I designed a CD for my partner's birthday. I made a mixtape of songs full of our shared memories and drew a cover for it too!

I cut out elements from digicam photos I took in North Carolina, messed around with the colors a bunch, and then incorporated them into the piece. I'm super happy with the result! I find that I really enjoy unconventional color combinations and varying textures.

Graphic design

Here is some design work I've done for two dance teams I'm a part of at school. You can tell that some of the work starting at the bottom is from when I was first learning Photoshop / editing. Towards the top I settle into a more consistent style. I really like lots of colors and maximalist composition!

Actually, I used film photos of the nature in my hometown to create the background textures of some of these. I think it's fun to fold bits of my personal life and environment into my designs :D

Hardware & art

I'm currently taking Creative Embedded Systems!

I've never done anything with hardware before, but I've always wanted to connect coding with something tangible in the real world. I'm hoping I'll leave this class with the foundations for building anything I want.
